The recession has forced marketers to rethink how they’re divvying up their advertising budgets, allocating more money than ever to digital marketing, a new survey shows.

Thanks to improvements in technology, the economic downturn and increasing demand from their audiences, 81% of marketers said they planned to increase their spending online. 49% said they expected to boost out for mobile marketing on cellphones and smart phones.

Egypt registers for Arabic domain nameITP.net

"Now we can really say that Internet will speak Arabic" - Tarek Kamel, Minister of Communications and Information Technology.

Egypt has publicly announced its intentions to register the .misr country code top-level domain (ccTLD) shortly after the Internet Corporation for Assigned Names and Numbers (ICANN) launched a process for internet addresses to be available entirely in Arabic.
